Some MCU fans doubted that Brie Larson is fit to play Captain Marvel.  Her Instagram posts however showed that Brie Larson’s workout is not just great but Marvelous.

The Post Credit scene of Avengers: Infinity War gave us a preview about Marvel’s next movie and (safe to say) a key character in saving the MCU from Thanos.  Enter Captain Marvel.

In the Marvel comic book universe many characters have donned the Captain Marvel uniform.  The 2019 movie will focus on the the Carol Danvers’ version of Captain Marvel.

Brie Larson started her career playing TV roles (Raising Dad, Hope & Faith).  She also co-starred with Jonah Hill and Chaning Tatum (21 Jump Street), Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson (Kong: Skull Island).  It was in 2016 when Marvel announced that Larson will play the alien-powered Super heroine pilot.

The Workout Details

Brie Larson’s workout is spearheaded by Hollywood Trainer Jason Walsh.  Initially they want to build muscle in every part of her body, specifically areas in which women are typically weakest – shoulders, arms and upper back.  Most of Brie Larson’s workout focus on weightlifting.  There is a misconception that weightlifting will add bulk, however Larson shared with Variety that she’s been deadlifting 215 lbs and she still has a lean and strong body.

Celebrity Trainer Jason Walsh also added: “Well, Brie is cranking out pull-ups for the first time in her life and she’s doing box jumps over her hip height … ”

If you follow her on Instagram (and if not then you should!) you probably saw her video doing weighted push-ups. Sources online said that the chains total weight was 50lbs.  On top of the weighted push-ups with variations, Walsh also includes 400lbs- hip thrusts in Larson’s strengthening program.
